X-STEP CL
The X-STEP™ CL is a versatile powered swing-out step designed to provide safe and convenient access to light commercial vehicles. Unlike traditional slide-out steps, the X-STEP CL operates using a robust swing-arm mechanism that smoothly moves the step out in front of the vehicle. This makes it particularly suitable for applications where underbody space is limited.

SWING-OUT DESIGN
The key difference with the X-STEP CL is its swing-out mechanism. Instead of extending straight out from underneath the vehicle like a conventional slide-out casette step, the step is moved into position in front of the vehicle using a robust swing arm. This design provides an alternative installation solution for vehicles where available space underneath the vehicle is restricted.
The X-STEP CL is available in three widths:
600 mm, 800 mm and 1000 mm.
CONSTRUCTION
The X-STEP CL features a strong aluminium construction designed with both durability and practicality in mind. The integrated anti-slip strips provide secure footing in all weather conditions. The combination of aluminium construction and anti-slip strips makes the step suitable for regular everyday use in professional vehicle applications.
The X-STEP CL has a universal design that is compatible with most light commercial vehicles. This gives vehicle converters and fleet operators flexibility when selecting an accessibility solution for different vehicle platforms.
INSTALLATION
This installation manual describes the recommended installation procedure for the Automobility-X X-STEP CL. Installation must be carried out by suitably trained personnel using the specified tools, materials and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure all electrical connections comply with the applicable vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations and local regulations.
