The system is designed for maximum flexibility and is compatible with both rail-mounted and floor-point fixation installations, allowing it to be integrated into a wide range of vehicle conversions. X-SAFE is approved for use with CE-marked manual and powered wheelchairs compliant with ISO 7176-19, making it suitable for patient transport, wheelchair accessible vehicles, minibuses and specialist transport applications. Every X-SAFE system is dynamically crash tested and complies with ISO 10542-1:2012, meeting internationally recognised requirements for wheelchair tie-down and occupant restraint systems. It also satisfies the requirements of EU Regulation 2018/858 when installed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

3-Point Combo Belt
SHOULDER BELT OPTION A:
The X-SAFE™ 3-Point Combo Belt is a more complete occupant restraint solution. Instead of providing only the shoulder belt, it combines an automatic-reel shoulder belt with an integrated lap belt to create a complete 3-point restraint system for passengers travelling in M1 vehicles. Its key feature is the height-adjustable upper anchorage. This allows the position of the shoulder belt to be adjusted according to the passenger’s height. The purpose is to provide better belt positioning, improved comfort and a more ergonomic fit while helping maintain effective restraint performance.

SHOULDER BELT OPTION B:
The X-SAFE™ Shoulder Belt Kit is designed to provide secure upper-body restraint for passengers travelling in M1 passenger vehicles. It is supplied as a complete set of four shoulder belts and is designed to integrate directly with the X-SAFE™ Wheelchair Tie-Down & Occupant Restraint System. The system provides reliable occupant protection while remaining quick and intuitive to use in everyday operation. Each shoulder belt is equipped with an automatic retractor, allowing the passenger unrestricted movement during normal travel while automatically locking the belt in the event of sudden deceleration or an impact. The belts use robust webbing, durable housings and high-quality buckle components designed for the demands of professional passenger transport.
ONE SET INCLUDES
A complete X-SAFE kit includes four automatic tensioning retractors housed in durable metal casings, an adjustable lap belt with pin connectors and an ALR shoulder belt with track fitting. The system is also available with PL02 floor-point fixations, providing additional installation flexibility for different vehicle layouts.
