A flexible interior solution for a large-scale highway maintenance project
For a highway maintenance operation, vehicles need to provide a practical and flexible working environment while remaining suitable for everyday professional use. As part of a larger vehicle conversion project, Automobility-X components were used to equip approximately 120 Ford Transit Custom vehicles with a durable flooring and flexible passenger seating solution.

The Automobility-X Solution
The vehicles were equipped with a complete X-FLOOR creating a durable and clean foundation for the vehicle interior. The floor incorporates four integrated rails, providing flexible mounting points throughout the passenger area. M1 Taxi seats from INTAP were installed directly into the rail system using N-Legs, allowing the seats to be securely mounted while maintaining flexibility in the interior configuration. This combination provides a modular seating solution that can be adapted to the operational requirements of the vehicle.

One of the key aspects of the project was the ability to deliver a consistent conversion solution across a large fleet. Approximately 120 Ford Transit vehicles were built using the same basic configuration, demonstrating how the Automobility-X system can be implemented not only for individual conversions, but also for larger-scale vehicle projects.
